Youth clubs & sport
Free and low-cost sessions for ages 8–18, run with Groundwork NE.
Food & friendship
Luncheon Club, the Social Hub and £1 Meals – good food and good company.
Help & advice
Free drop-ins for money, benefits, housing and work. We’ll point you to the right help.
Hire a space
A sports hall, a second hall, four meeting rooms and a fully equipped kitchen – at community rates. Used by clubs, charities, businesses and families for everything from training courses to birthday parties.
Get involved
The centre runs on the help of local people. There are lots of ways to support it.
Volunteer
Help at reception, the community café, youth projects, the Lunch Club, admin or our Warm Space hub.
Become a trustee
Help guide the centre’s future. We’re looking for people with a passion for Seaham and skills to share.

Part of Seaham since 1971
The “Youthy” was opened by Sunderland AFC’s 1973 FA Cup winner Ritchie Pitt, and many in town have fond memories of evenings here. Today we’re a registered charity serving everyone from toddlers to the over-50s.
